Timmerman Airport Master Plan Public Open House #1
Milwaukee County has initiated a Master Plan Update study for Lawrence J. Timmerman Airport (MWC). It will define a future development framework that ensures an organized and scalable plan to meet the demands of general aviation in the southeastern Wisconsin region.
As a designated reliever airport, MWC plays an important role in the state’s aviation system. The Airport’s Master Plan will describe MWC’s future over the next two decades, meeting the requirements of the FAA and the Wisconsin Department of Transportation Bureau of Aeronautics.
Milwaukee County's master planning efforts benefit from feedback and input by users and neighbors of the airport. An open house will take place on Wednesday, June 5, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at Timmerman Airport. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. This event is open to the public.
The Master Plan Study Team will:
- Forecast the future activity anticipated at MWC
- Define the aeronautical facilities needed to accommodate that activity safely and efficiently
- Explore ideas for future facility layouts
- Evaluate overall development concepts
- Estimate the costs of and challenges with future development at MWC
- Document the planning process and conclusions
